I am so very proud to be the reigning Miss
Austin Teen USA and “thank you” for reading
my Bio. I am so very blessed and honored to be serving the
Austin Community.
I was born on November 19, 1989 at Seton Hospital in Austin,
Texas. I’m proud to be a 5th Generation Austin-Texas-Native.
I’ve grown up in both Austin and Round Rock, Texas
the past 17 years living with my parents and two adorable
younger brothers, Landon, 12 and Braden, 8. My family and
I attend St. Mary’s in Taylor, TX and St.William’s
Catholic Church in Round Rock. I am currently attending
Stony Point High School as a Junior and Varsity Cheerleader.
I look forward to graduating with my class in 2008! I have
many ambitions in life. My future plans are to attend college
at The University of Texas in Austin receiving a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business-Fashion Merchandising. I also have a
passion for becoming a Model and travel the world! Long
term ambition is to someday own a successful fashion design
or makeup line having both career and a loving family. Presently
my main focus for ambition is to be honored by winning the
title and crown fulfilling the role in 2008 as the next
MissTexasTeenUSA! My ultimate dream would be to then compete
earning and winning the prestigious role of MissTeenUSA!
From the young age of four, my parents encouraged me to
try different things so I would learn my passions in life.
I did! I learned to play the piano, took singing & guitar
lessons, dance & ballet, riding horses, played soccer,
fast-pitch softball, learned to swim & water ski, took
gymnastics and competitive cheerleading.
I’m very happy to be born and raised in Austin because
I’m a huge music buff and love listening to live music.
I enjoy all kinds of music from hard rock to the Beatles
and back to my roots listening to country music and George
Strait! To live in Texas is to love country music and BBQ!
I’m proud to admit that my dad taught me how to Two-step
in our kitchen. I believe in eating healthy and staying
healthy and enjoy going to the YMCA, taking yoga classes
with my best friend. Our health is our most important asset
to living life to the fullest. I love boating and enjoy
both Lake Austin and Lake Travis. This is a favorite part
of my summers. I love animals and adore my small white Maltese
dog named Tini.
I’ve worked since turning 16 at such places as Sonic,
TGIF’s, Snowie Sno Cones at UT football games and
at SXSW. I truly enjoyed working as an opposing cheerleader
on the TV show “Friday Night Lights” filmed
in Austin last year. I take pride knowing that I was once
a Girl Scout, participated in little Miss Round Rock, and
before winning my current title I was given the title of
Miss Williamson County Teen USA for placing 4th Runner-up
in the previous MissAustinUSA Pageant. This allowed me my
first opportunity to experience the MissTexasTeenUSA Pageant.
I am a volunteered for the Williamson County Crisis Center
and our SPHS Cheer Squad was awarded 2006 Partners In Education-Youth
Volunteer Award; I have been nominated for our Homecoming
Queen Court, Cheered for eight consecutive years winning
National Cheer Championship awards.
Other than family, I believe it’s extremely helpful
and important in life to have more than one mentor or someone
to look up to as I do with our current MissAustinUSA, Allison
Seale, my Director, Betty Warner and our past reigning MissUSA,
Kandace Krueger. They’ve all inspired me in one way
or other to be true to myself, be my best so that I can
reach for my dreams. I hope you will too no matter life’s
challenges or obstacles. Keep believing and always be yourself!
There are so many rewards that come with achieving life’s
goals and ambitions. The most important reward of all is
to give to others in and outside of our communities. With
each experience you will learn something new by giving.
I know I have and it’s a blessing. I’ve enjoyed
giving and sharing what I have learned thus far and look
forward to finishing my reign with a determined win for
becoming your next MissTexasTeenUSA making Austin Proud!
Love, Holly~
