THE PAGEANT will be very glamorous, exciting and entertaining
for you and any of your family and friends who attend. It will truly
be a very memorable experience (the type of event that you will be proud
to tell your children about years from now) and could lead to new opportunities
in your life. MISS AUSTIN TEXAS & MISS AUSTIN TEXAS TEEN
win a prize list valued at over $20,000 and will win their
entry fees paid to the prestigious 2012 Miss Texas USA®
or Miss Texas Teen USA® Pageant
THE COMPETITION is divided in 3 categories: Personal
Interview, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown. The judges will be looking for
an all around winner. She may not be the most outstanding in any one
category yet she will score highly in all categories. The judging is
based on poise, personality, intelligence and beauty. There is no talent
competition and no experience is necessary. In addition to choosing
MISS AUSTIN TEXAS & MISS AUSTIN TEEN TEXAS , awards
will be presented to the Most Photogenic, Best in Swimsuit, and Miss
Congeniality.
WHERE? WHEN? The pageant will be held in the beautiful
Hays ISD Performing Art Center Saturday evening, February
19th. at 6:30PM
ORIENTATION will be held Saturday,
January 8, 2011, 1:30PM. Place to be announced.
DANCE REHEARSALS will be held 1-6PM on Sunday afternoons
prior to the pageant. It is not mandatory to be in the dance numbers,
but it is a lot of fun and
this year promises to be the best!! Rehearsal Hall to be announced.
There will be four mandatory rehearsals, Sunday, February
13th at the rehearsal hall; the auditorium Thursday, February 17th,
5-10PM and
Friday, February 18th 12-5:30PM. There will be a full dress rehearsal
at the Auditorium Saturday, February 19, 2011 12:30 PM until 5PM
WORKSHOPS: will be held for everyone interested in
learning about hair, make up, modeling techniques & interviews.
1) Saturday, Jan. 8th from 1-5PM, place to be announced. 2) Walking/modeling
workshop Sunday, January 16th, 1-5PM
3) Mock Interviews will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 1PM, place
to be announced. Contestants will make appointments.
Workshops are not mandatory!
COMPETITION WARDROBE - You will be required to provide
your own competition wardrobe:
1) Evening Gown - There are no specific requirements regarding the gown
other than that it should be full length, fit you well and
compliment your own coloring and physical features.
2) Personal Interview Attire - For the judges' interviews, there are
no specific guidelines other than that you should wear a daytime
outfit that you feel is appropriate for interview, something that suits
your taste and personality. A good guideline would be to ask
yourself what you would wear for a press conference or television interview
3) Opening production number – TBD
4) Competition swimsuit - One or two piece. No string bikinisor thongs.
If in doubt, check with the director
FEES AND WHAT THEY COVER-Your entry fee is $200. In
addition there is a mandatory program ad fee of $275. Each contestant
will receive a half-page ad in the program book, which will include
your photo, name and sponsor acknowledgments. (You will have the option
of purchasing additional full page ads in the program book for $300
if electronically ready for print, or $350 if we do the layout for you.
The photo(s) to be used on this additional page may be photo(s) of your
choice. (subject to pageant approval) No swimsuit photos, please!)
Fees may be obtained from a sponsor, group of sponsors, family, friends,
or the contestant, herself. Fees may be paid for by check, cash or money
order
All fee payments are totally non-refundable after the deadline dates.
PHOTO'S - In addition to your picture for the program,
you will need 1, 5"x7" color photo, head shot, of the same
pose, printed vertically for the judge's forms.

DEADLINES: Immediate – Entry Fee (Applications
accepted on first come basis) $200
January 2, 2011– Papers, Program Photo & Ad Fee Payment of
$150
January 16, 2011 - Program Ad Fee Payment $125
February 6, 2011 - Profile, Judge’s Photo copied on to your 5
filled out Judge’s Forms
Contestants are limited and accepted on a first come basis

non-refundable after deadline dates.)
